Letting Go of The Weight! | Fancy Boudoir Transformation at Folly Beach, SC

One day you will look in the mirror and realize it’s time to let go of the weight! Questioning yourself trying to figure out how you got to a point in life where both mental and physical weight has you pressed.

I had the pleasure of working with Alexis after she reached this point and here’s what happened:

Me: How did you feel the day of surgery?

Her: “Terrified. Thinking to myself, this ain’t gone work. The reason I did it was because I was looking at healthy people have major health issues and I’m looking at everything stacked against me. My Dr. told me I had central obesity, where all my fat was covering my major organs. When she told me I was at risk of heart failure, I knew I had to do something different.

Me: How do you feel now?

Her: I feel liberated. I really feel free, no longer weighed down be mental or physical weight.

Exactly 365 days ago today she made a decision to let go of the weight! It’s her Surgeriversary!

A few weeks before the surgery, Alexis and I escaped to Destin for a 2 day self-care retreat on the beach. As I photographed her I watched her face a many fears. I watched her begin the journey of letting go of the weight. She put on a 2 piece bathing suit and flaunted her curves is a public place completely scared of her own insecurities. She trusted me to document the process. I challenged her to let go of those insecurities and prepare for the confidence she yearned for. Not just because her body was about to transform, but because mentally she deserved it. I’ve learned sometime we just need that extra push! A few weeks ago we linked up again at Folly Beach, SC for another self-care retreat to document her 1 year transformation.

74 lbs and several dress sizes later she not only physically transformed, but mentally the wait is over! The world is hers to conquer!

Great Job Alexis!

xoxo
